Experience.

Developer working on a laptop

In 2007 I started to work part-time in the position of Linux Administrator at DigiState B.V., a hosting company in the Netherlands, which later grew out to a managed service provider (MSP). My responsibilities included customer support and the maintenance of servers, monitoring, backups and other tasks. I still continue doing so after over 16 years.

After that I joined OpenSesame ICT B.V. as a Developer in February 2009. During my time there, I focused on developing and improving OpenIMS while providing support to existing customers. This experience laid the foundation for my career as a developer.

In April 2012, I changed jobs, and joined Bright Alley as a Developer. Here, I specialized in developing themes and custom plugins, growing my skills in software development and gaining valuable technical experience in the field of online learning.

From Bright Alley I moved to Conclusion Learning Centers in January 2016 as a Lead Developer. In this role, I led the development team, and made sure we used tools like GitHub to standardize workflows and deliver high-quality software solutions.

In April 2020, I took on the role of Technical director at Toogethr. In the years that followed there I’ve grown into the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Here, I led a team, build a cloud-native parking platform in Google Cloud Platform, and migrated the existing applications to Google Cloud.

I spent a few years at Toogethr, but then I decided I should try to look around in different companies, see if I could use the experience I’ve got to help them with the challenges they face. So I started as a freelancer in december 2023, and working with a lot of joy in different companies.
